Each Adaptory game begins with a team of four Explorers, hailing from the planet Terra.
Backstory
Your crew have set off in the year 2122 as part of an ISEA mission to investigate a planet that could potentially support Terranean life. The scientists at ISEA have sent off a fleet of a dozen manned ships on their maiden voyage, headed towards 39B Alpha in the Calliope Nebula.
Your Explorers may be specialised ISEA professionals, or they may have won their place on the ship as part of the ISEA Lottery. Life on Terra can be quite difficult, and many people are interested in seeking a new home on the far side of the galaxy. However, no one expected the ship to crash-land on a previously undiscovered planet in uncharted space!
